04 Nov BACK FROM TBEX: ATHENS PHOTODIARY Posted at 16:01h in Travel blog by Pamela Goding 8 Comments Share Back from Athens, and from TBEX. Happy, enriched by the many experiences, but a bit confused. I’m not going to write a dedicated post about TBEX, the biggest international travel bloggers’ meeting, let me only say that being together with so many inspiring, interesting people, all sharing the same passion for a life less ordinary gave me an incredible energy and a very empowering feeling. I now know that there are many ways one can follow in life, and I don’t know anymore which is mine. I promised myself I would indulge myself some time to think, to think about life and what I really want from it. And I came with the conclusion that I’m going to count to twelve. October next year will be a very significative date for me. It will be then that I’m going to decide if I should remain on the safe and known path walked until now, or take the other route, the difficult one, the one less beaten, and of course also the most scenic one. Franly, I think we all now which one I’m going to take. *always be brave* Meanwhile, let me take you with me to Athens! A suffused queen who sleeps under a coat of pink dusks, an Athens I haven’t yet seen. I completely fell in love with her two summers ago, reached after 24 hours flight from Italy in a terrible trip I will never forget, but this october she dazzled me even more with her beauty. Experiencing her alone was also something different. It was like meeting with an old friend and have time to spend together only by ourselves, and we all know, strong feelings are the ones that remain in the heart forever. the big Parthenon queen waking up in a foggy dawn breakfast at St. George Lycabettus, my new favorite hotel in Athens Monastiraki square, one of the major points of interest in town. Here you can see what else it is to do and see in Athens. got lost in the Plaka and found this stair full of cafes and typical tavernas! tzatziki, bread with oil and olives patè. Seriously, I could live o this. Lycabettus Hill: one of my dearest places and probably my favorite in Athens. Waiting for sunset from there was something I wanted to do for a long time!.
